Windy Meadows Farm

By Mary Murray

Mary is a Midwest farmgirl. She headed west to the Rocky Mountains for college, then following graduation, returned home and married her sweetheart. They settled down in a busy suburb; however they were soon convinced that it was time for a slower-paced life.  Before long, they found themselves spending many Saturdays driving along country roads, until they came upon a small farm for sale...the one they now call home. The renovations to their 1864 home and barns continue, and through the years a sweet girl and boy have joined in the fun.

"Our family enjoys the simple country pleasures...barn sales & auctions, porch swings, county fairs, Sunday dinners,  farmers' markets, cross-country train rides, and the comforts of home," says Mary. "Living where there is plenty of room for gardens, animals, and for kids to play & explore, for us, is the best kind of life."
